Our Chobe day trip from Livingstone, Zambia or Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe departs every day for an experience that includes a 3hr river cruise, three meal course lunch, a 3 hr game drive and return road transfers.
This is a sensational trip-and-water based game viewing. Your first game sighting is from the Chobe River, teaming with animals, while sitting securely on board, just off the river bank, game viewing from the relaxing vantage point of a boat. You are on the mighty Chobe River which flows through the renowned Chobe National Park providing a haven for herds of grazing animals and bird life. Just sit back, relax and keep those binoculars handy. Watch this glorious scene unfolding itself-large herds of elephant, often with the tiniest frolicking calves, kicking up dust as they wait their turn at the water’s edge to drink. Frighteningly large crocodiles sun themselves on the banks of the river, mouths agape, teeth terrifying. Glorious bird life, wonderful game and the gentle ricking of the riverboat. Can life get any better? Apparently when we disembark, we join our open safari vehicle for a drive through the Chobe Game Reserve with the chance of seeing more wildlife and bird life, and gorgeous lunch at a lodge awaiting us.... overlooking the Chobe River. Let us call it the ultimate.

Best Time for Wildlife Viewing
Chobe has very seasonal wildlife viewing. The dry months, from May to October, are a good time to visit the Chobe River area in the north. During the Wet season, from December to April, animals tend to congregate around the pans in the interior of the park.
Wildlife & Animals – Chobe NP
Chobe has an impressive wealth of animal life. Elephant and buffalo are a permanent presence on the riverbanks in the dry months. Burchell's zebra are very common as well, while smaller numbers of sable, roan and greater kudu can be found in the park interior. Lion, wild dog, leopard and cheetah are all regularly spotted.
